What to expect from a first conversation.
A first conversation should create clarity, not obligation.
A first conversation with Roster is meant to be simple: understand your business, your goals, and whether it makes sense to keep talking.
You will speak directly with Michael Boden, founder of Roster.
30 to 45 minutes.
Phone or video.
The conversation is informal but focused. We will want to understand the business, the situation, and what prompted the conversation.
You do not need to prepare materials ahead of time. If there is mutual interest, detailed information can come later, under NDA.
A few areas we’ll explore together.
- The business
- What the company does, who it serves, how it has grown, and what makes it work.
- The team
- Who helps run the business today and where additional support could help.
- Your goals
- Whether you are thinking about succession, growth, liquidity, a strategic partner, or simply trying to understand your options.
- The opportunity ahead
- Where better systems, practical automation, operating focus, or growth infrastructure could support the next chapter.
If there is mutual interest.
The next step is typically a more detailed conversation under NDA. That may include learning more about the company, discussing your goals, and beginning to explore what a partnership or acquisition could look like.
If it does not make sense to continue, that is fine too. The goal is clarity, not pressure.
Read directly.
Handled confidentially.
Every inquiry is read directly and handled confidentially. No information moves further without your consent.
We understand that conversations about ownership, succession, growth, or partnership can be sensitive. If there are specific concerns around employees, customers, competitors, or timing, we will discuss those early.
